Trains to the Alps

Train Travel Information

Whether booked by Alpine Action or independently there are three different options to travel by train to the Alps.

Eurostar Direct (Day Train)

Eurostar departs London St Pancras 09:43 and Ashford International (Kent) 1045 respectively on the Saturday morning and arrives at Moutiers 17:30 Saturday evening. The following Saturday you depart Moutiers at 1044 and arrive at Ashford International at 15:37 and London St Pancras 16:28
On the day of arrival you will be transferred by our representative to your chalet for afternoon tea while settling in. At this stage our representative will acquire your lift passes and assist with ski hire and any lessons where applicable. On the day of departure you will be transferred to Moutiers for the train home.


Eurostar/Sleeper (Night Train) 2 - Extra days skiing

Eurostar departs London St Pancras 17:29 and Ebbsfleet International (Kent) 18:10 on the Friday afternoon. Both Trains change at Paris Gare du Nord for the sleeper couchette and arrive at Moutiers 07:55 on the Saturday morning. The following Saturday you depart Moutiers at 20:02 and arrive at Ebbsfleet International at 09:12 and London St Pancras 09:22 on the Sunday morning.


Eurostar Direct (Night Snow Train) 2 - Extra days skiing

Eurostar departs London St Pancras 20:13 and Ashford International (Kent) 2116 respectively on the Friday evening and arrives at Moutiers 05:37 Saturday morning. The following Saturday evening you depart Moutiers at 23:09 and arrive at Ashford International at 06:34 and London St Pancras 07:35 on the Sunday morning.

Changeover day:

Chalet rooms are to be vacated at 10:00 am on day of departure and that rooms are not available until 4:00pm on day of arrival.

Arrival Day
You will be met by our representatives at Moutiers station and taken in our private minibuses to resort. You arrive in the resort often before existing clients have departed. If it is not possible to take you directly to your chalet you will be taken to a restaurant where for the immediate period you will be able to purchase breakfast, tea and coffee. When the chalet is free of clients although will not have been prepared for you a vacant area/room will be made available for you to change into you ski clothes. No other chalet services or facilities are available to you at this time. Our representative will be acquiring your lift passes and assist with any ski hire and/or lesson requirements. The chalet will be available with all services from 4pm where you will find your rooms ready and afternoon tea waiting.

Departure Day
On the day of departure you will need to vacate the chalet by 1000am for skiing leaving your luggage in the garage of the chalet. We suggest that you leave your travelling clothes at the top of your bags, as you will be unable now to enter the chalet rooms or washing facilities that would have now been handed over to the arrival clients that day. You will be taken from your chalet at 4.30pm on the Saturday afternoon to Moutiers Station. You can leave your luggage at the Station in a secure locker for a small charge. We recommend that you take advantage of one the many restaurants near to the station before you make your journey home.

Whilst our staff will be as helpful as possible we ask you respect, that your extra 2 day extended skiing period is outside the normal chalet occupation and availability times. We cannot offer shower facilties, we are happy to assist with alternative arrangements, where possible.
